Hi Dwight, Thoroughly enjoyed our tour to Rio Bueno river. Dexter was a very informative and personable driver who added a great deal to our knowledge of the area and drove safely and efficiently and got us back to the ship in plenty of time without stress. The tour itself was great. Not crowded, which was great. We had intended to river board but due to relatively low water flow and potential trauma to our legs from the rocks in the river, we decided with the advice of the tour staff to raft. It was the right decision for us . First we climbed up some water falls upriver which was fun and very scenic. Even the younger kids enjoyed this. Then we paddled/floated down the river going over several areas of calm rapids. Ended up at the beach with some time to swim and eat some genuine jerk chicken and have a few beers which was relaxing. Our river guides were Everton and Joe ( I think that’s right ) who were excellent . Informative and fun to raft with. Just a great day. Would recommend to someone who wants to avoid the long ride to Dunn’s River Falls and also avoid the crowds in the Ocho Rios area. Not for people looking for wild river rapids and adrenaline rushes but a fun relaxing day on a clean refreshing river.
