Hundreds of hard core Bob Marley fans come to this remote part of Jamaica in the hills of St Ann to see the birth place and final resting place of the king of Reggae music as well as learn about the meaning of the lyrics of his music.
Not long after arriving at the small village of Nine Mile, you will arrive at the Marley family home. A Rastafarian guide greets you and immediately, you are faced with the friendly pleasant vibes which influenced the lyrics of many of Bob’s songs. The tour starts through the family house and it is not uncommon to be greeted by his mother or uncle while visiting on tour. as you are on this tour of the house where Bob Marley grew up you will get to not only meet the people he grew up with but touch his bed and really get to know him in-depth. This is a singing tour and your guide shares tales of Bob Marley’s childhood in the country, musical carrier and meaning behind and inspiration for the lyrics of his most famous songs, many of which the guides will sing for you and encourage you to sing along.
Afterwards you will be taken to the mausoleum – final resting place of the reggae king, where his body is entombed.
